HOTEL WESTEND NUREMBERG
In Nuremberg's Hotel Westend, we were invited as general contractor to undertake the core refurbishment of all public areas on the ground floor.
With our outstanding network of craftsmen, we carried out the complex conversion in a compact period of time, connecting two hotel wings and almost doubling the hotel's operating space with our smart floor plan.
Our customers have one contact for everything with us, as our network consists of important trades such as plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting and tiling.
As a company, we at diesigner have always had the ambition to find the best solutions for our customers, in order to make every project something very special. This was certainly the approach taken at the Westend Hotel in Nuremberg.
The hotel now has a striking new entrance area and stylish reception with stone enclosure and hotel engraving, a newly furnished lobby and adjoining conservatory, a breakfast room with a completely new buffet, guest toilets, a practical hotel kitchen and a smart back office, as well as new staff rooms.
We designed the breakfast buffet to be free-hanging so that its suspended appearance lends the room a great deal of lightness.
Casual furniture with a retro look, genuine concrete wallpaper and dark fabric and wall colours make the ground floor of the hotel look cool and elegant.
The mixture of direct and indirect light creates a particularly exciting atmosphere throughout the ground floor.
In the newly designed lobby, for example, we integrated round light domes in the ceilings and set the scene for the wall behind the hand-crafted sofa with an illuminated Nuremberg silhouette.
Guests experience a very unique lighting experience on the way to their room. Using laser light lines, we have created a geometric pattern on the floor and wall surfaces in the corridors, creating a unique eye-catcher.
