Bayard Sport – Alpine Retail Re-imagined

The newly designed Bayard Sport Store in the heart of Zermatt has created a retail space that seamlessly blends alpine authenticity with a modern, high-quality interior design. Materials, lighting and spatial layout interplay perfectly to create an environment that is both functional and emotionally engaging, whilst also providing a clear direction. The space is not merely utilised, but staged – with the aim of enhancing the quality of the visitor experience and strengthening brand perception in the long term.

The central element is the custom-made steel staircase, which acts as an architectural anchor. It not only connects the levels functionally, but also makes a statement in the space. The combination of steel, wood, and light creates visual depth. 

The display areas were designed as flexible systems that allow for dynamic yet precise product presentation and divide the store into clearly defined zones. High-quality wood paneling, contrasting details, and our exclusive diesignershopfitting create a calm, focused backdrop for the products.

The result is a well-thought-out overall concept that perfectly combines design, function and craftsmanship – creating a retail experience that blends alpine identity with modern exclusivity.
