Style and comfort
After the successful conversion of the 10 luxury apartments in the Chalet Christiania, the Franzen family commissioned us to redesign their stylish 32 room Mountain Wing Christiania Hotel.
At that time, the hotel was furnished with high-quality and well-maintained furniture in solid cherry wood. Following our philosophy of providing the customer with the greatest possible benefit and, wherever possible, working in a sustainable and resource-saving manner, we mutually decided to leave, among other things, the French beds and the unique handcrafted cabinets and tables in place. Around this existing furniture we carefully and imaginatively developed a modern, new style, creating a unique effect and atmosphere.
We paid special attention to the lighting concept. The extremely high colour rendering index CRI 95 allows the elegant curtains and fabrics to shimmer brilliantly and materials to shine to their best advantage.
The "Matterhorn silhouettes" above the beds, which are backlit on a dark wall, were lasered especially according to our design to create a wonderful effect.
The Mountain Wing Christiania is a perfect example of a winning combination of old and new. It proves that it is not always necessary to strip out the entire room to create a very special and unique room design.
