PENTHOUSE NÜRNBERG - The house of my musings

In this mega cool new building project, David Weigel, the head of diesigner, was commissioned as the client's agent to design all areas and to exploit his full potential in the detailed implementation. The client handed over complete responsibility to Mr. Weigel and wanted an end-to-end package. Everything was to come from a single source. From design to execution and for all contractors.

The first striking feature of this unique penthouse is the first-class floor.

This floor was hand-finished in several stages using all-natural materials, giving the project an elegant calm. To prevent a change of material, all bathrooms and walk-in showers were finished with this flooring.

The second color in the project is a black-grey oak.
To ensure that every piece of furniture, wall slat, window, door and cladding has the fitting color, all of diesigner's wood specialists were supplied with the same black-grey surface material.
What really is a very stylish highlight are the butt-jointed black-grey solid oak windows with internal hinges, as well as the 2.35 m high interior door leaves flush with the wall, where the frames have been integrated into the wall to absolute perfection. Here, the top-class craftsmanship is reflected in the precisely crafted joint pattern.

The both grounding and balancing color 'Cottage Green' runs throughout the entire project. All of the walls were painted in this color and given a matt latex coating for durability.
On some walls, the green finish is concealed by the floor-to-ceiling, brilliantly backlit, vertical oak panels that run from the entrance to the living room. The planning of the lighting effects for such slats had to be worked out very well in advance, as the substructures had already been installed in the building framework.

After the entrance area, you reach the spacious and open kitchen. It was designed and constructed by Mr. Weigel as an absolutely unique piece for this project. Nothing here is off the peg, as no luxury kitchen manufacturer offers this delicate wall fitting and it was therefore custom-made to the highest of quality by our carpenter.

The fireplace in the open-plan dining and living area was finished with the same Dekton panel as the worktop in the kitchen. The fireplace separates these two areas perfectly as a room divider. The inner level of the fireplace contains the customer's crockery and multimedia cupboard, which cannot be discerned from the outside. All around, the black-grey oak fronts of the fireplace were designed with fine flutes along their entire height, which took days of work by the carpenter to mill exactly to plan.

The dining table and all the furniture in the entire house were individually designed by Mr. Weigel for the project and, with a few exceptions, manufactured entirely by our workshops.
In this unique project, nothing was left to chance and every square meter in the 200 square meter penthouse apartment was designed with as much attention to detail as if it were our own project.  We are therefore particularly pleased that the customer is raving about his beautiful home in every conversation with us.

Client statement:

"We had already been living very well before and could never have imagined that we could feel more comfortable anywhere else, but Mr. Weigel has made exactly that possible. My family and I are so thrilled because all our expectations have been exceeded beyond measure and every day we feel like we are living in our most beautiful dream."
